Puddle magazine is aimed at families of all social grades with children under 12.

Where is the publication distributed?

We are available in all major population centres in Essex and some small towns. If you'd like to see our full list of locations, please contact us.

Are all of the copies picked up?

As of October 2024, as a new and free publication, we fully expect all copies to be picked up according to the current market trends and the rising popularity of free magazines.

What are your advertising rates and pricing packages?

What ad sizes and formats are available?

We offer a range of sizes from 1/3 page to a double page spread.

Do you offer discounts for long-term commitments or bulk advertising purchases?

Yes, you can save 10% if you place an ad in three or more issues consecutively. Three issues is a good place to start to get the most from your ROI. Contact us to discuss your long-term advertising goals.

Where will the ads be placed within the publication (e.g., front page, section pages, back cover)

We understand the importance of strategic ad placements. Unless the location is otherwise described (e.g., inside the front cover), or unless otherwise agreed, ads are placed where we see the best fit. We try our best to match adverts relevant to the content they are alongside wherever possible. If you require a special position, please contact us. We offer one advertorial or double-page spread spot in the centre of the magazine, giving you the flexibility to choose the best placement for your ad.

Do you provide metrics or analytics on ad performance?

As a new publication, we are currently gathering this data. We track all interactions with our digital magazine. Your digital advert's clicks will be monitored and made available to you. You can also track the clicks yourself if you are using analytics software on your website.

If you're looking for performance data from your print ad, we recommend including a unique URL or QR code within your ad so you can track the number of clicks/visits when it is visited or scanned. This will help you determine your unique ROI (return on investment). We can provide more details and help you set this up. We will provide our advertisers with information on how many copies are picked up each issue.

With a small magazine like Puddle and limited ads, we anticipate a high engagement rate. To calculate your cost per exposure, simply divide your ad price by our circulation number. This will give you a clear understanding of your cost per exposure. You'll find this to be excellent value when compared to the likes of search engine or social advertising.

What are the deadlines for submitting ad materials?

Is there flexibility for last-minute changes or revisions to ad placements?

You can make any major changes right up until the day before the magazine goes to print. Please see our print deadlines for more information. However, when it is in print production, we can't guarantee that any amendments can be made.

Ads are checked for any obvious errors before they go to print.

Can I modify my listing once I have submitted it and after I've paid?

You can modify your listing by contacting us before our print deadlines. When it is in print production, we can't guarantee that any amendments can be made.

Do you offer exclusivity or category exclusivity for advertisers within specific industries?

Yes, we may be able offer exclusivity to advertisers in a specific category. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Are there any restrictions on advertising from direct competitors within the same publication?

We have a small number of ad spaces available per issue, so this would be an unlikely issue. However, unless we have an exclusivity agreement in place, we will automatically place competing ads apart. If a suitable placement isn't available, we will advise scheduling the ad in a different issue.

What are the terms and conditions of the advertising contract or agreement?

Our ad design service is an excellent option for small to medium businesses. We are lucky to have an extremely experienced in-house team of designers and marketers who can greatly increase the success of your ad.

Also, we can integrate ads within relevant articles and offer special placements (subject to availability), and advertorials.
