Have a ROARSOME time at the Museum of Chelmsford!

Museum of Chelmsford Museum of Chelmsford

Oi kids! Oi grown-ups! Come stomp and explore,
Where dinosaurs rule and there’s fun galore!
Inspired by Kes Gray and his dino delight,
We’re painting, crafting, and digging all right!

This Easter school holidays, the Museum of Chelmsford is getting inspired by the ‘Oi Dinosaur’ book by Kes Gray in Oi! It’s the Easter Holidays!. Join them for dinosaur puppet making, digging for fossils, and even making your own alternative to an Easter egg… a dinosaur egg!

These egg-cellent activities are suitable for ages over 5 to 10 years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult, who can attend for free, including entry to the museum.

If learning more about the history of Oaklands House and the families that used to live there, you can book in to their talk and tour Museum Memories: Easter at Oaklands. On selected dates, join tour guide Rachel as she takes on the point of view of Maud Butcher, the maid of the former Oaklands House owner Fred Wells.

If you’re looking for something inspiring to finish the holidays with, book a free place Storytelling with Mike Dodsworth, a well-loved local storyteller. Mike will be performing stories inspired by the imaginative world of Kes Gray.

The museum is open from 10am to 5pm throughout the Easter Holidays. Adult admission is £4 when attending the free events, and kids always go free!
